In today’s blog, I will share the recipe for a very simple, yet flavorful salsa that is made with persimmons (for more details on persimmons, visit my blog here).
I am a big lover of the spicy Mexican salsa that is made with dry red chilies roasted in oil. I made this version of the salsa with the ripe fuyu persimmons in my pantry and it came out so good.
Persimmon Chili Salsa
Heavenly tasting fruity and spicy salsa made with ripened fuyu persimmons, roasted red chilies, raw garlic and lime juice.

- 2 Garlic cloves chopped

Instructions
-
In a pan, heat oil and roast the red chilies until they give out nice aroma. Add more chilies if you want your salsa to be more spicy.

Check and adjust salt; add more lime juice if you want your salsa to be a bit tangy.

Enjoy with pita or tortilla chips!
Recipe Notes
- You can also roast the chopped garlic along with the red chilies if you do not like raw garlic flavor or you want to try variations.
